Hello and welcome back my lovely readers. Its that time again, where you kindly indulge me showing off what I have been working on. I am really excited for this one. I am finally finished with something I have been working on for quite a while and am just so proud of. But first I have been working on some other things, mostly more pokemon and hats. I have another month before our next event so I am just trying to get as much stock built up as I can in the meantime.
First of all, hats. I am trying to use out the rest of my Knit Picks: Brava on hats because of how nice and soft they are so I made up a nice yellow and black kitty hat. I may need to make up another with antenna. Then I am beginning work on my halloween costume, the accessories will be crocheted so hat, tail, and probably some little blue gloves. Yeah after making three of the adorable things I decided to go as a Glaceon. (It has been suggested I start linking to descriptions of these strange little pokemon)

On the pokemon note, I finished up the midsized and tiny Glaceons, though the big one is still my favorite. I also finally finished the Jolteon I have been putting off for a while now. I had fix my sewing on most of the limbs (they are still a bit awkwardly placed) search my entire room to find the last leg (I no longer have the same shade of yellow of course) add the spikes on the butt and neck and felt the eyes. I am pretty pleased with how all the eyes came out. I am still really enjoying felting.
You can now order my pokemon in my Etsy Shop.
Forgot to get this little guy in the last picture. Starting on another tiny pokemon, this one is Leafeon and will be much cuter with ears, and a face. A lot of colorwork to do with this one so I have been putting off doing the larger ones.
While looking for that last damn leg for the Jolteon, I found a bunch of tapestry needles (and hooks, and scissors, it was like Christmas!) so I decided I needed a new pin cushion so I can stop loosing them in the first place. I picked up this super cute yarn at a goodwill lately and have been meaning to try it out. He still needs ears but works for now.
Then more ponies, I love the way this pink looks for Pinkie Pie, but it's really thin and the plushies come out small so I tried making one with a single strand and one with a double. The double looks great but uses up more than an entire skein so I think I need to find a different pink, Red Heart Classic: Lily Pink looks promising.
And finally the biggest, most complicated, most rewarding project I have worked on to date is finished! That's right the Princess Cadence plushie I have been showing you just about every week is finally finished. All pieces are sewn together and well most of the felting is done (I need to get a new needle, I broke one. It is sad). I wish the eyes had come out better and I didn't really know what I was doing with the hair, but I still love her.
I have said before how amazing I think this pattern is. There is almost never a point where it's just "sc for 10 rows" there are constant little adjustments to get the bends in the legs and the curl in the hair just right. I am so glad there are amazing designers out there making patterns like this because I just do not have the brain for it. I can make something simple with just spheres and cones but this is a work of art. I really suggest you check out her patterns on Etsy or on Ravelry. She does great bundle deals on her patterns. I promise I will stop gushing now. And go start on the next pony!
Let me know what you think of the new formatting. It makes the posts a bit more cluttered and shorter but I think it looks better with less white space and being able to see what I am talking about it a picture nest to the text.
So that's it for this week. Join me on Monday for a new yarn review and have a great weekend!
